When do you need to change the owner
When you transfer a server to another customer, the owner of the server must be changed. This is important for sending invoices to the new owner and giving the new owner access to the server.
Process
In order for a server to change owner, both people/companies involved need to have a customer account with us. If the new owner does not have a customer account with us yet, he/she can register at https://ip-projects.de/en/register/.
Furthermore, the current customer must contact customer service and provide them with the following:
Customer number of the new owner
Which product is to be transferred
Future invoices will then be sent to the new owner of the server and he will have access to the administration of the server. The old owner of the server will then no longer have access to the server.
