So that you always know when the RAID array becomes inconsistent or one of the hard disks in the software RAID has a defect, the Linux operating systems have their own monitoring, which even sends an e-mail notification to the administrator if required.
For managed server systems, our e-mail address info@ip-projects.de is already declared by default. But you can edit this freely in the file
/etc/mdadm/mdadm.conf
In the line
MAILADDR
you can declare the e-mail address here instead of "root" or you can add another e-mail address as an alias in the file
/etc/aliases
file.
